Occasionally we can make an exception and offer 1 night stays. Please contact us if you would like to request a 1 night stay. That said, we ask that you please respect our 2 night minimum policy. Please do not book 2 nights with the intention of dropping one. If you must do so, you will be billed for 2 nights, or subject to a cancellation. Of course you may book 2 nights and only stay for one. Sometimes three nights may be required during certain times throughout the season. 

Room rates do not include the sales tax of 12.38% and are based on a two-person occupancy. Please note that children and infants of any age are considered part of total occupancy of the room.

Each unit at Mangy Moose Trailside Lodge has its own listed maximum occupancy based on the size, layout, beds, bathroom capacity, and overall guest comfort.

The maximum occupancy shown for each unit at the time of booking is the maximum number of guests allowed in that unit. This includes adults, children, and overnight guests.

No unit may exceed its listed maximum occupancy at any time.

Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight. Additional guests may not be added after booking unless approved by Mangy Moose Resorts in advance and confirmed on the reservation.

Exceeding the listed occupancy may result in additional charges, cancellation of the reservation, or removal from the property without refund.

These limits help us keep each unit comfortable, safe, and properly maintained for all guests.

Rooms must be reserved with a major credit card. We charge a non-refundable 30% deposit plus taxes for our standard rooms and the Moose Hus. You will be charged the remaining balance on the morning of your arrival.

Cancellations made 10 days or less prior to arrival will be charged one night. The original deposit is not refundable. Please contact us at 1-218-370-0131 if you have any questions concerning this policy.

Outside of 10 days from reservation, the 30% non-refundable deposit has been processed upon booking. No other penalty will be incurred.

INSIDE of 10 days from reservation, 1 night penalty will be taken in addition to the deposit already processed."

Once a guest has checked in, the reservation is considered active and dates are blocked from being rebooked. Refunds or credits are not provided for early departures.

If a guest chooses to depart before their scheduled checkout date, all remaining nights on the reservation remain non-refundable.

We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. However, once your stay begins, your accommodations have been reserved exclusively for your group. (After all, it probably wouldn't feel great if we asked you to leave early because another guest wanted the room!)

In the event of a verified maintenance or property-related issue that cannot reasonably be corrected, management may review charges at its discretion.

We charge a non-refundable 30% deposit plus taxes/fees for all our rooms. SINGLE NIGHT STAYS- the full room charge is taken upon booking and is non- refundable

No Show's will be charged the total trip cost.

Ordinary check-in is 3 PM, however often times your room may be ready a little earlier. Once your room is ready, you will receive a text from us with your door code. Please make sure your cell number is on your reservation otherwise a check-in procedure is posted by the coffee bar entrance.

Check-out is at 10:00am or earlier.

For the comfort of our guests, all rooms are smoke-free. But, a patio is available for those who do smoke. Please do not smoke on the steps to the rooms.

We’re happy to welcome dogs at Trailside for the 2026 season. To keep the property clean, comfortable, and enjoyable for all guests, the following rules apply:

Dog Fee
$80 per unit per stay (for up to 2 dogs). More than 2 dogs per unit are not allowed.

Where Dogs Are Allowed
Dogs are currently allowed in all Trailside units for the 2026 season.

Please note: beginning in 2027, dogs will be limited to designated pet-friendly units only. Guests wishing to bring dogs in future seasons are encouraged to book early.

House Rules

• Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside your unit
• Dogs may not be left unattended in rooms unless kenneled
• Guests must clean up after their dog immediately
• Please keep dogs off beds and furniture

Damages & Cleaning
Guests are responsible for any damage or excessive cleaning required due to their dog, including (but not limited to):

• Pet hair requiring deep cleaning
• Odors
• Accidents inside the unit
• Damage to furniture, linens, or property

Additional cleaning or repair charges will be applied as needed.

Behavior
Aggressive or disruptive dogs are not permitted. This includes:

Excessive Barking
Aggression toward guests or other animals

If issues arise, we reserve the right to require removal of the dog from the property without refund.

Liability
Guests assume full responsibility for their dog at all times. Mangy Moose Resorts is not liable for any injury, damage, or incident involving a guest’s pet.
